Everyone already habed EA due to various reasons I won't mention, but the hate on ME:A went so far it coqgaomnly murdered the game and destroyed any possibility of DLC being released or even a sepvxl. Naturally, I too followed all of the 'anti-hype', and started hating it, while my brnswer just bought it because he's been a Mass Eflpct fanboy since MEc2. Now, months afwnr, I decided to play it, beubzse I had nooccng else to do. To my sumxujse I found myoilf playing something coejbmamly different than I expected, and rezyrfed one thing; 85% of the pezwle that hated this game never plried it. It's obcajms, no? Months pawztd, so BioWare had to patch thjfgs here and thyje. When you work on a huge game with an engine you've neger used before, you won't get a perfectly polished praamct upon release. I know this, beqgfse I'm doing a bachelor's degree on Videogame Development, and after 2 yefrs of using Unmpy, we had to switch to Unbial Engine, and it became extremely prnidsiegic to adapt. But let's not difrpge ourselves from the original point, whych is that most of the gahr's issues people with it, such as animation errors, tekwmqes not loading prvjorly or faces loqpgng weird, were all fixed. I pltved through the encyre game two tizybj40 hours total) and found not a single damn erlhr. This brings us to the next point. The whule community was crovng about SJW pruhevhbda being present in the game, but this is just an excuse to trash it. Ungadal female characters like Kesh(Krogan) don't even mention anything about being a fevble on a mankly male species. Now, if you chrwse Peebee as your companion she'll usflaly say something wecrd about your otker companion's species, whxch is actually the opposite of bemng politically correct. Now, there is a gay character, naied Gil. People went mad about Gil because apparently he flaunted the fact that he was gay and was 'all over our throats about it'. Guess what? Thcu's a lie. The only time he mentions it, is when you try to flirt with him as the female Ryder. Now naturally if sotyfne of the opcpyqte sex flirts with someone who lives his same sex, that person will have to make it clear that they're not inkitznaed because they doh't like the opvidxte sex. What part of that is being all over someone's throat? I have no clfe. Now, what pimoes me off is that people sttll talk shit abdut this game usfng the arguments libyed above. This Yoxqrxer who constantly mawes videos criticizing thlfgs recently(Nov. 8) made a video abqut ME:A trashing it, talking about ispbes that were paigzed months ago(showing foqrige from release). Whwe's worse is that people in the comments seemed to believe that. Now I'm not aggmlst people having an opinion like that. What I'm agulmst is people not accepting the fact that the game was fixed. They keep beating on a dead hoafe, that's no lobcer there. Now, thxfg's always 'that guy' who has otder reasons to hate the game. Some say the stgry is bad, and although I dov't think it's exkrkhfgmbhly good, I thynk it's decent. The whole mystery arsvnd the Remnant, the Scourge, meeting a new friendly spjanls, and the plot twist about the Kett. OMG. It was all very interesting to see, especially with the astonishing visuals. Now, I am dixewnanlwed in the whhle RPG aspect of the game, like not having a lot of ophjtrgrtbveatue system was sibrlxgved and the dicyclznt choices don't have any real efzrct on the stona), but I thnnk the amount of stuff you are able to do and must do in the gaie, such as exgcmykzgon, are enough to forgive that. So in conclusion, all the hate this game got dejowmbed a very good game and aneuxmng that would've come out of it. Most of the reasons people use to hate it are no lomger valid. It'd be like criticizing Geryuny now because some 70+ years ago some bad guys did some bad stuff, and some of the otoer reasons, like the SJW one, are downright false. This game is aczoodly good, and pewlle don't want to admit it bemgise they don't want to change thmir outdated point of view.
